Meeting of the Irish Research Network in Childhood Bilingualism

The Irish Research Network in Childhood Bilingualism is a network of researchers from a wide range of disciplines, policy makers, teachers, early childhood educators, educational psychologists and speech and language therapists who have an interest in advancing knowledge and improving practices in the area of childhood bilingualism.

Call for papers  2018 Annual Colloquium of the Henry Sweet Society

OVFL Open meeting

This is our first public meeting for 2018. Starts at 11.30am in DIT Anger Street (entrance on the side). Room AU3096. All welcome! 
If you have an interest in foreign languages, we want to hear from you! 
The meeting will be about the Strategy for Languages, its implementation plan and what the OVFL can do.
Programme
Contributions on any aspect of the history of linguistics and linguistic ideas are welcome, as are proposals for panel discussions or thematic sessions. In addition, the committee welcomes submissions that address the particular theme of this year’s colloquium, which will be: HISTORICAL APPROACHES TO ETYMOLOGY 
Papers should be 20 minutes in length (+ 10 minutes of discussion). Proposals should be submitted to Dr Deborah Hayden ([email protected]), and should contain the following information:

Abstract (max. 250 words) 
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 January 2018. Notification of acceptance will be made by early March 2018.
