EUROPEAN LANGUAGE LABEL AWARD

If you are involved in a creative project that enhances language learning, you might be interested in getting your project recognised with a European Language Label Award.  Perhaps your organisation is language aware and you are supporting inclusion through a language learning initiative, or perhaps you’re using ICT to enhance language learning.  Applications can be made under several categories, including “Language-friendly society” and “Languages for the future”. 
Application deadline is on 2 June 2020 and more information is available on the link above.

Students fees will be paid and their stipend will be €950 per month year 1 rising to €1275 per month in year 3. For 2015, 4 suitable candidates of 5 have so far been identified; the final place needs to be filled. This opportunity will be available to more students in 2016 and 2017. 

Please share this information with students who have or will study in Germany in the near past/future.
As the programme starts on August 3rd in Germany, offers will be made based on Mock Leaving Cert results for 2015 or the actual results for students who took the exam in 2014. Franz Werfel-Stipendium
Franz Werfel, geboren 1890 in Prag, gestorben 1945 in Kalifornien, zählt zu den bedeutendsten Vertretern der österreichischen Literatur. Das Franz Werfel-Stipendium wendet sich daher an junge Universitätslehrer/innen, die sich schwerpunktmäßig mit österreichischer Literatur beschäftigen. Das 1992 initiierte Stipendienprogramm steht Bewerber/innen aus aller Welt offen. Die Werfel-Stipendiat/innen können als Gastforscher/innen an Instituten arbeiten und Spezialstudien in Bibliotheken, Archiven oder an Forschungseinrichtungen durchführen. Nach einer Stipendiendauer von 12 Monaten besteht die Möglichkeit, in die Nachbetreuung aufgenommen zu werden.
